We are pleased to announce that The Orijen Group has been chosen to deliver the Australian Public Service (APS) Women in ICT Coaching Circles program for 2013, after successfully delivering the pilot program in 2012.

THE WITEM Coaching Circles program is the result of research into the personal and professional needs of women in ICT in the APS and aims to promote and facilitate the sharing of experiences, knowledge, and expertise for women wishing to advance their careers.

As participants move through the five pillars of the program they will be introduced to a range of key decision makers and will be continually exposed to new and challenging ideas.

These pillars include a personal review, ‘Coaching Circles’ with peers, activity modules, networking forums, and ongoing support. All activities are designed to provide opportunities to assist women to better develop their careers and facilitate their progression in ICT in the APS.

Coaching Circles provides personal, peer based support that helps participants achieve the very best for themselves, their employers, their agencies, and the Australian Public Service.

With 90 nominations for the 2013 Program so far, we look forward to continuing to build and strengthen the pipeline of women in ICT through modules such as “How to be an Authentic Female Leader”, “Negotiation and Influencing Skills”, “Career Management” and “Personal Style and Presence”.

Zoe James from the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, a participant in the 2012 program, says “Feeling apprehensive, I approached the welcoming night of the Coaching Circles with an open mind. Little did I know it was going to be exactly what I needed to overcome the self doubt and be the start of a new me professionally and personally.”

“Thanks to my new circle of friends and the opportunity to seek support and exchange experiences, my WITEM journey may have ended but my learning journey has only just begun. WITEM has taught me to follow my heart, believe in myself and my abilities, make a difference to someone’s life and be proud of who I am.”

The Orijen Group warmly welcomes the new participants of the 2013 APS Women in ICT Coaching Circles Program.

We thank Dell for their continued support of this program.
