A heartfelt congratulations to our WITEM mentee and mentor for their WIC 2020 Awards.

There are times in life when it’s good to sit back and bask in the success of others. This is where I found myself as I saw the announcement of the WIC Winner of the WICked Woman of the Year Award for 2020 – Jade Carson from Department of Skills Education and Employment and the WIC Male Champion of Change Award for 2020 to Antony Stinziani from Department of Parliamentary Services.

Jade Carson

I met Jade when she started as a mentee in the WITEM program and where she has subsequently moved into the role of mentor. Jade was nominated for her contributions to the industry, her reputation as a trailblazer with her creative and strategic leadership style and her strong focus on achieving business outcomes. She is passionate about getting girls and women into technology, establishing the Women in Data and Digital Network within the then Commonwealth Department of Education to build a supportive community where women could learn, share and grow.

Antony Stinziani

Antony has been a mentor in WITEM since 2010 and is a regular and generous guest speaker at our WITEM Coaching Circles. He was nominated for WIC for his ongoing contribution to advocating for women in the ICT industry. Antony has been a passionate member of the WIC community for years and has actively been involved in the WIC Coffee Catch Ups. He is a long-time supporter and contributor to Women in ICT Mentoring Programs (WITEM). Antony is described as being not just a voice; his actions also help encourage a better working environment for women.

I’m very proud to have worked with both.

Cheers,

Jenny
